Hot Toys Brings Fans Blade II Figures

Halloween is over, but that doesn’t mean we must hide the ghouls, ghosts and all things that go bump in the night away in the attic until next year. No matter the season, the market is ripe with all things dark and twisted, sinister and action packed, and Hot Toys is there to ensure we are not disappointed.

Continuing their 1/6th scale Marvel line that began with Logan from this past summers X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Hot Toys is set to follow with Wesley Snipes as Blade from the 2002 Guillermo del Toro directed Blade II. I am a bit embarrassed to admit I have not seen Blade II, having not been thrilled with the first installment, but the fact that Mr. del Toro directed the film should have prompted me to see it when originally released. After seeing the perfection of this upcoming figure, sculpted by Hot Toys master sculptureSo Young Lee with paint by JC Hong, I am heading out to my local video store tomorrow and renting a copy of Blade II. They hit Wesley Snipes right on!

Cool Toy Review has posted some breathtaking pictures of this upcoming figure, set to be released the first quarter of 2010. As usual the figure should be up for pre-order at Sideshow, and other online markets such as Big Bad Toy Store, soon so keep your eyes open.
